For those that have never taken to the dirt before (well, not intentionally anyway!) or those with limited off-road experience, then an off-road motorcycle training school is a great place to start. Using a purpose built facility this is ideal for learning the basics of riding off-road. Road experience really counts for very little when it comes to off-road motorcycle riding! Off road riding can improve your road riding skills in many ways such as learning how to lock the front brakes in a controlled fashion, how to handle loose surfaces and how to steer quickly using the footpegs, which are just some of the techniques covered in this off road motorcycle training course.
All of the equipment you need will be supplied, including the use of a trail bike with full protective clothing. Over the course of the day you will cover: the controls of an off-road motorcycle; the basics of handling an off-road motorcycle; the correct way to recover a dropped bike; body positioning/riding in slalom while standing up; front and rear brake techniques and safe locking of wheels; corners and finally climbs and descents. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate as a keepsake and the most improved rider of the day will also receive a trophy to keep as boasting rights!
